Dr. Stephenie Pisacano, ND
Licensed Naturopathic Doctor (AANMC), Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (IFMCP)
As a young girl, Stephenie developed a natural interest in global and environmental health, as well as athletic performance, while studying dance. When she began experiencing her own health concerns in high school and started playing basketball competitively, she became more interested in nutrition and made changes to her diet, developing an early awareness of the concept of food as medicine.
As a teenager, a naturopathic doctor helped her address underlying health issues related to subclinical hypothyroidism, food sensitivities, and hormone imbalances. Now a mother of three, she has devoted her professional life to helping other busy moms optimize their health and hormones, improve fertility, and enhance longevity.
Dr. Pisacano chose a naturopathic medical education out of a passion for helping others who seek a more holistic approach to health. She earned her B.S. in Biology, followed by her medical degree (ND) from Sonoran University in Tempe, Arizona.
During her training, she had the opportunity to work abroad in underserved communities through Naturopaths Without Borders. She supported the work of Dr. David Mar Naw, the only physician providing care for the mountainous area northwest of Chiang Rai, working with the Hmong hill tribe people of Thailand—mainly refugees from China and Laos. She also spent time with NWB in Mexico, providing integrative care and education in the community of Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point).
After graduating, she completed her residency at Remede Naturopathics, a thriving naturopathic medical practice in Manhattan. During her residency, she assisted many busy New Yorkers with digestive disorders, menstrual irregularities, infertility, and general health concerns.
She went on to become a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (IFMCP), completing all modules (Hormones, Bioenergetics, Immune, Cardiometabolic, Gastrointestinal, and Environmental Health). She has also received additional training as a DONA-certified doula and is a Certified Lactation Consultant, allowing her to better support women through motherhood.
